Valio's corporate responsibility report for 2007 now available

Valio is reporting on its corporate responsibility for the fifth time. Responsibility for Well-being - Corporate Responsibility Report and Annual Report 2007 communicates e.g. the importance of dairy farming in Finland, Valio's operations from the social and environmental responsibility perspectives, as well as the requirements for milk production in Finland, and the well-being of the country's dairy cattle.

Valio's financial performance is reported in the financial statements. The Corporate Responsibility Report appraises Valio's business operations e.g. from the investment and dairy farming perspectives.

The company says product liability is examined from the perspectives of responsible research, ingredients' quality assurance, in-house supervision of production, and customer and consumer service.

Responsibility for personnel is broadly reported using personnel indicators. Customer satisfaction reporting encompasses supply chain performance, distribution and customer co-operation.

Environmental results for Valio's operations in Finland and with regard to packaging are reported in detail.
