The ‘Goldfish Capture’ Gummi candies by Meiji Seika Kaisha invites consumers to a traditional Japanese game where goldfish-shaped gummies with flavors such as apple, melon and soda are ‘scooped’ from a ‘pond’ of juice before they solidify. The traditional game, which is played during Japanese festivals, requires a child to use a small net made with starch membrane to scoop a goldfish from a pond. The game ends when the membrane breaks and the fish escapes. Launched in August this year, a pack costs $1.67.
