'Ultra-ultrapure' lab water

Millipore Corp’s LC-Pak point-of-use polisher provides fresh ultrapure water with very low traces of organics for analytical techniques such as ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) or LC-MS/MS.

Recent advances have increased the sensitivity of organic and biochemical molecule detection, resulting in chromatographers requiring higher quality ultrapure water for use in mobile phase, buffers, blanks and standards, as well as for sample dilution, glassware rinsing and extraction.

The LC-Pak cartridge contains tightly packed C18 reverse phase silica that binds organic molecules through hydrophobic interactions. Connecting to the outlet of a Milli- Q water dispenser (Q-POD) or a Millipore Type I water purification system, the cartridge produces at least 500 liters of ultrapure water.
