Expat. Roasters presents Incography 2024: Indonesia Coffee Photography Competition celebrating coffee culture through the lens

August 23, 2024 by Asia Food Journal

Incography 2024

Expat. Roasters is thrilled to announce the launch of Incography 2024, an Indonesian coffee photography competition designed to celebrate the love for coffee through the eyes of photography enthusiasts. Open to all photography lovers aged 18 and above, Incography 2024 is free to enter and offers participants the chance to showcase their skills and passion for coffee. The competition will be judged by renowned Indonesian photographer Rio Motret, and winners will receive prizes worth over IDR 50 million.

Participants can enter the competition in two main categories: Professional (using professional cameras) and Amateur (using mobile phones). Each of these categories has two sub-categories: Expat. Roasters in Focus and General Coffee Capture, all under the theme “A Photographic Ode to Indonesia’s Rich Coffee Culture.” Whether it’s the hustle and bustle of busy cafes or the tranquility of peaceful mornings, every photo is an opportunity to transport viewers into the world of aroma, taste, and community.

“At Expat. Roasters, we believe that coffee is more than just a drink—it’s a story, a tradition, and a community,” said Shae Macnamara, CEO and Founder of Expat. Roasters. “Through Incography 2024, we want to inspire and educate individuals to appreciate Indonesia’s vibrant coffee culture while giving them a platform to express their creativity.”

The competition is a call to action for photography enthusiasts to capture the essence of Indonesia’s coffee culture, with the goal of connecting coffee lovers everywhere.

“Photography allows us to freeze moments in time and tell stories that resonate with people,” said Rio Motret, a distinguished Indonesian photographer and the judge for Incography 2024.

“I’m excited to see how participants will creatively interpret Indonesia’s rich coffee culture through their lenses.”
