The Indonesian Embassy in Lima has facilitated Sinar Mas Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) participation at the 2022 PeruPack Exhibition on 24-27 August 2022. The 2022 PeruPack exhibition is an international exhibition held in Lima, Peru and presents packaging companies from various countries such as Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, USA, China, India etc.

The exhibition, which targets the packaging industry, was visited by more than 20,000 people who are business players in the packaging sector, such as producers of food packaging, plastic containers, industrial bags, etc.; suppliers of packaging machinery and equipment such as die cutters, industrial printers, food packers, etc.; as well as suppliers of raw materials and services in the field of packaging. 

At this exhibition, APP Sinarmas showcased and promoted its newest innovation, Foopak Bio Natura. Foopak Bio Natura products are food and beverage containers that do not use plastic, so the products are recyclable, compostable, bio-degradable and repulpable.

The arrival of APP Sinarmas products comes at the right time in Peru, where the Peruvian government has issued regulations aiming to eliminate plastic products gradually. Implementing this regulation and the nature of Peruvian consumers who switch to environmentally friendly products make APP Sinarmas products very attractive at the PeruPack 2022 exhibition. In addition to facilitation at the PeruPack 2022 exhibition, the Indonesian Embassy in Lima also helps APP Sinarmas to conduct Business to Business meetings with potential buyers of APP products. Sinarmas is one of its traditional products.

APP Sinarmas’ participation in the PeruPack Exhibition is a good event to promote Indonesian innovation so that Indonesia can also be known as a country that produces innovation in various fields. The promotion of APP Sinarmas products also shows Indonesia’s overall commitment to both the government and the private sector on the issue of sustainability.
