CP Foods and AXONS Shine at Techsauce Global Summit 2023, Leading the Way in Agricultural and Food Technology Innovations

BANGKOK — Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) and AXONS have prominently displayed their leadership and innovations in sustainable agricultural technology at the prestigious Techsauce Global Summit 2023, held at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).  

Under the vision “Kitchen of the World,” CP Foods and AXONS highlighted the future of agricultural advancements, including state-of-the-art smart farming systems that pioneer efficient and sustainable animal husbandry practices. The summit witnessed thought tech leaders from both organizations sharing their insights and fostering knowledge exchange on new-age agriculture and food tech with international experts from over 50 countries.

Peerapong Krinchai, Head of Corporate Engineering at CP Foods, underscored CP Foods’ commitment to sustainability during the Food Tech forum. Speaking on “Embedding Sustainable Technology in the Food Value Chain,” he emphasized CP Foods’ journey towards becoming a Net-Zero entity by 2050. Advocating for practices that align with the United Nations Sustainability Goals (UNSDGs), Mr. Krinchai pointed to initiatives like the use of biogas systems on farms, the transition from coal to biomass energy, and expanding solar energy applications, showcasing CP Foods’ dedication to environmental responsibility.  

Sharing insights on “Leverage Deep-Tech Advancements to Scale Impact”, Nalinee Robinson, Head of Research and Development at CP Foods, unveiled the innovations behind the plant-based Protein Brand, Meat Zero. While recognizing the challenges in texture and taste replication, she reiterated CP Foods’ commitment to developing plant-based food that aligns with global consumer needs.  

Sunsern Samaisut, Managing Director and Executive of AXONS emphasized AXONS’s four-decade-long legacy in agro-industrial technology. He spoke of AXONS’s expansive global reach, providing AgriTech services across countries. “This summit provides a platform for us to share and synergize with global partners, furthering our mutual goal of sustainable growth in the agriculture and food sector,” he noted.  

The showcase, themed “Revolutionizing the Future: Empowering Sustainable Well-being through AgriTech,” was divided into two significant zones:  

CP Foods Zone: Highlighting innovations throughout the food chain, CP Foods‘ zone depicted their futuristic “Kitchen of the World”. Their engineering team demonstrated robotics in poultry care, underscoring a commitment to animal welfare and food safety. CP Foods also spotlighted the achievements of their RD Center in developing PLANT TEC – a technology that replicates the taste and texture of meat in plant-based foods. As a testament to their innovation, the Meat Zero brand has emerged as the top plant-based meat brand in Thailand.  

AXONS Zone: AXONS exhibited their state-of-the-art AgiTech solutions that have elevated Thailand’s agricultural and food processing standards to international standards. Their display championed efficiency, safety, traceability, and social and environmental responsibility in food production, echoing their commitment to enhanced well-being and bolstering Thailand’s economy.
