Aptar Food + Beverage introduces new flow control solution

Aptar Food + Beverage has announced a new addition to its portfolio of packaging solutions. The 2” Ultra XLV closure is a large valve that can dispense thick and high viscosity food products, ensuring that dispensing is clean, controlled and convenient. The product can be integrated in rigid bottles or inverted flexible pouches, the latter becoming the more preferred packaging option.

More are considering putting items like guacamole, peanut butter, cream cheese and similar food into squeeze bottles than traditional tub designs. Incorporating the 2” Ultra XLV closure, which features Aptar Food + Beverage’s SimpliSqueeze® technology makes squeezing these products easier and cleaner, and ready whenever the consumer needs it.

“We are excited to showcase the new 2” Ultra XLV closure to the industry, as well as leading food brands and co-packers that can benefit from this innovative technology,” shared Susan DeGroot, marketing director at Aptar. “Our extra-large flow control valve allows consumers to experience the ultimate in clean, controlled, convenient dispensing in new, thicker or high viscosity product categories. All with the proven technology our easy-to-use SimpliSqueeze® valve has delivered to consumers for more than 25 years.”

“With our new 2” Ultra XLV, we understand that it’s not a one size fits all approach. We take each product in-house, test and evaluate it to make sure the valve is performing at the highest level to ensure a consistent, clean, controlled dispense with every squeeze,” said DeGroot.

The product comes in a standard neck finish and can be tailored depending on a business’ specific needs.
