Bison releases IP69K rated washdown motors ideal for the food industry

Washdown motors are normally utilised in the food and beverage industry, where there is a heightened focus on cleanliness and sanitation. To provide improved solutions to ensure that hygiene is maintained during the production process, Bison Gear & Engineering Corp. has rolled out their updated stainless steel washdown motors.

Featuring stainless steel 230/460, the product’s surface reduces bacterial growth by lowering contamination points. It also features an IP69K rating, which keeps it completely sealed to various outside elements. It provides high ingress protection against dust, high temperature and high pressure water. This means it’s ideal for use in conditions where equipment needs to be carefully sanitised, such as the food and beverage industry. The integrated Viton Oil seals and O-rings withstand high-pressure sanitary washdowns.

Additionally, this product line caters to the growing need of motors that boast of a high horsepower. It boasts of a 1/6 to 2 HP range, with an IE3 premium efficiency standard, and yields low surface temperature.
