Surabaya, East Java, September 2024 – Expat. Roasters, Indonesia’s leading specialty coffee brand, proudly announces the grand opening of its sixth store, located at Hokky Buah in Citraland, Surabaya. As the brand’s third store in Surabaya, Indonesia’s second-largest city after Jakarta, this new location marks another key milestone in Expat. Roasters’ ongoing national expansion.

The 50 m² coffee sanctuary at Hokky Buah Citraland is designed to elevate the grocery shopping experience, offering premium coffee along with a range of delectable croissants, mouth-watering toasties, and an array of snacks. Surabaya’s shoppers can now enjoy their favourite coffee while relaxing in the store or as part of their shopping experience.

In addition to offering premium coffee, Expat. Roasters Hokky Buah Citraland features a dedicated kids’ corner, where children can enjoy fun activities such as drawing and colouring while their parents or caregivers relax and savour their coffee. This addition makes the store a welcoming space for families.

Shae Macnamara, Founder & CEO of Expat. Roasters shared his enthusiasm:

“We’re thrilled to continue our growth in Surabaya with the opening of our third store in this vibrant city. Our mission remains the same—providing high-quality coffee experiences for everyone, whether they’re shopping, commuting, or just enjoying a moment to themselves. Hokky Buah Citraland is an exciting new addition to our growing family of stores, and we’re proud to bring our passion for coffee to more people across Indonesia.”

Renowned for its high-quality coffee blends, Expat. Roasters exclusively use Arabica beans, with over 95 percent sourced from local Indonesian producers. The Hokky Buah Citraland Surabaya outlet will serve their full range of premium coffees, from single origins such as Bali Kintamani and West Java, to their popular blends, including Patria, Nomad, Habitat, Jozo, and Terra. Coffee lovers will also be able to enjoy Expat. Roasters’ newly released cold brew cans perfect for those on the move.

Yande Wirawan, Head of Training & Brand Ambassador of Expat. Roasters, added:

“Opening our Hokky Buah Citraland store is another exciting chapter in our expansion story. We’re committed to delivering our premium coffee experience to more people across Indonesia, and this new location is a perfect fit for us. With several more stores opening soon, including in East Surabaya and Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, we’re looking forward to what the rest of the year will bring.”

This latest opening is part of Expat. Roasters’ ambitious expansion strategy for 2024, which will see six new stores across the country. Following Hokky Buah Citraland, the brand will open another store in East Surabaya next month, followed by locations at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport in November and in Medan and Makassar towards the end of the year.

Other Expat. Roasters locations include two stores in Bali (Jalan Petitenget and Beachwalk Shopping Mall), two in Surabaya (Graha Family, West Surabaya, and Juanda International Airport), and one in Jakarta (Mori Building, Sudirman, Central Jakarta).

Expat. Roasters Hokky Buah Citraland, Surabaya, is located at Jl. Citra Raya Lakarsantri I No.06, Made, Surabaya, Jawa Timur and operates from 8 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and from 6 AM to 10 PM on weekends.
