Thanks to a state-of-the-art handling system, this filling machine is quick and precise, with the ability to gently pack with the same level of care as manual placing.

Berlin, 13 February 2024 – Fruit Logistica, the fruit and vegetables global business event, held last 7th of February 2024 for the grand opening of its newest Berlin showgrounds. This year, Sorma Group launched its new box-filling robot, another solution for improving automation during your post-harvest processing of fruit and vegetables. This machine is designed to facilitate placing produce packs in boxes and is available for all markets.

What has set Sorma Group’s latest innovation apart from the rest is the accuracy, delicacy, and efficiency with which it performs its necessary tasks. This new robot, which meets the needs of most weighing and packaging lines, can place up to 30-40 packs of produce a minute. With this efficiency, it is an easy substitute for one or two production line operators. What sets this machine apart from an ordinary box filler is its automated hand that delicately places each pack in its position, whereas an ordinary box filler drops the produce packs into designated containers after traveling along a conveyor belt. The combination of its precision hand placement as well as the final oscillation settling the produce inside the box leaves less of a chance for potential impacts on the product.

This machine is exceptionally versatile thanks to its automated hand, with that said, it can handle the entire range of Sorma Group’s net packaging solutions.

Sorma Group gladly informs you that this machine is developed at our Germany location and is ready for sale in all markets where the Cesena-based group operates.

Fruit Logistica is also an opportunity for the Sorma Group to update trade and journalists on our offerings. A catalogue that covers all phases of post-harvest processing of fruit and vegetables is available. Sorma Group is constantly trying to improve the automation and precision of these procedures with the aide and integration of artificial intelligence. Fruit Logistica is right around the corner.
