Established in Osaka, Japan, in 1957, Marinfood has steadily built its reputation as a forerunner in the business as a key supplier to hotels, restaurants, and schools for more than 60 years. The brand’s diverse retail selection includes specialty products, such as flavoured butter and snack cheeses, to convenient and quality ready-to-eat items such as frozen hotcakes.

A selection of nine Marinfood products is now available at select FairPrice Finest and Sheng Siong stores island-wide, as well as RedMart’s online store at https://redmart.lazada.sg.

Hotcakes in Less Than a Minute

Brighten up mornings or any time of the day with Marinfood’s frozen hotcakes. Made with Hokkaido flour and milk, one hotcake contains the same amount of calcium as 100ml of milk. Using a perfected recipe, mixing process, and technique, Marinfood has conjured irresistibly-fluffy and pillow-soft pancakes that possess a melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Recreate the café experience in the comfort of home by heating the hotcakes in the microwave for just 50 seconds or in the toaster for two minutes. Top them with the condiments provided in each pack, and enjoy!

Available in two flavours, Whipped Cream & Maple Syrup Hokkaido Hotcakes, and Margarine & Maple Syrup Hokkaido Hotcakes, each pack retails at $9.80. The pack comprises three individual sets of hotcakes with two hotcakes each and a serving of maple syrup and whipped cream or margarine in each set.

Made with milk from Japan to give it a creamy taste – no artificial flavours or preservatives are used. Marinfood cheeses are a good source of protein, calcium, and vitamin A. Choose from three renditions: European smoked ($6.90 for 16), Candy (Plain, $6.40 for 26), and Camembert ($6.40 for 26). These bite-sized wholesome snacks are individually wrapped and can be conveniently packed for picnics, camping trips, lunch boxes, or just about any occasion.

Delightful Spreads

To top it all off, literally, Marinfood is undoubtedly best known for its range of delicious butter and margarine. A staple that has graced the tables of many Japanese households over the years, four creamy and rich flavours are finally available here – French Margarine, Garlic Margarine, Honey Sugar Butter Blend, and Uni Butter. Marinfood has honed its craft over the years and developed a proprietary whipping process that renders a creamy, smooth texture that allows for easy spreading, even straight out of the refrigerator.

  • French $6.90 (150g) – Fragrant and smooth, French Margarine is an ambrosial ‘umami’ delight that combines garlic and anchovy sauce. Seasoned with salt and pepper, grated eschalot, mustard, tarragon, and parsley, this aromatic spread is a rendition of an authentic French recipe.
  • Garlic $6.90 (160g) – An all-time classic spread made with freshly grated garlic, cheese and a medley of spices. Reminiscent of Italian flavours, this is studded with parsley, as well as red bell peppers.
  • Honey Sugar Butter Blend $6.90 (160g) – Delightfully sweet and refreshing, Honey Sugar Butter Blend is a melodious combination of real coarse sugar, lemon juice, and a generous serving of honey.
  • Uni Butter $9.50 (95g) – Rich and flavourful with a smooth consistency, Uni Butter is a signature amongst the delectable selection of flavoured spreads. A harmonious blend of sea urchin and fish sauce, the savoury and umami-filled butter melts deliciously on hot rice and dishes, making it suitable for various meals throughout the day.

Versatility of Marinfood Margarine

Multi-purpose and flavourful, MarinFood’s repertoire of spreads holds many delicious possibilities, making them a handy pantry essential in the kitchen – use them to glaze chicken, sauté vegetables, and even as a piquant pasta sauce.
