The BRC certification is given to suppliers that have proven proper management of product safety, authenticity, quality and legality. This global standard, provided by BRC Agents and Brokers, is only one of two fully recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative.
After an extensive audit was conducted in September this year, ingredients supplier Prinova Europe was not only awarded the BRC certificate, but was given an AA grade, the highest rating a company can possibly get. Prinova Europe manufactures liquid and dry premixes as well for the food and beverage, and nutrition industries.
Fanny Crossley, Head of Compliance at Prinova Europe, said: “We are extremely proud to have achieved an AA grade and consider it an endorsement of Prinova’s core values of customer focus, quality and integrity. As a critical link in the chain of custody for ingredients, it is our responsibility to put all controls in place with best-in-class practices to guarantee product safety and quality.”
Louise James, Director of Operations at Prinova Europe, added: “We uphold the highest standards and continuously improve our processes to deliver the products our customers deserve. This AA-grade certification is a recognition of the efforts of all the teams within the company who have built our quality and food safety processes over the course of many years, making them an integral part of our business activities.”
The company also boasts of ISO9001 and HACCP accreditation, and Organic and Kosher certifications across their manufacturing facilities in the U.K., China and the U.S.
