Sidel, a global leader in packaging solutions and industrial innovation, has announced the launch of its inaugural Sidel summer camp at its Octeville-sur-Mer site.

The summer camp will be a free, immersive programme designed to offer 20 engineering students a unique opportunity to develop their skills, gain industry insight, and explore potential future careers within Sidel.

Running from 7 to 11 July 2025, the programme is open to students aged between 21 and 25 who are enrolled in selected partner universities.

Over the course of five days, participants will take part in a range of hands-on activities, including practical workshops, team-based problem-solving exercises, and a live challenge to design a customer-focused product prototype. They will also have the chance to interact directly with Sidel’s engineering and services teams, gaining valuable insight into the workings of a global industrial leader. Additionally, the Sidel Parma site will host the second edition of its summer camp from 21-25 July.

To apply, students should submit both a CV and a short motivation letter through the online application portal: https://www.sidel.com/summercamp-octeville. The deadline for applications is Friday, 20 June 2025.

François Lejard, Executive Vice President Services Portfolio & Solutions at Sidel, said: “Investing in new generations means investing in the future of the industry itself. Through structured, targeted programmes, we equip students with problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and the motivation needed to excel in their fields. The Sidel summer camp offers them a hands-on, immersive experience — and for the most committed, it can open real career opportunities within our group.”

Sylvia Mahé, Human Resources Director at Sidel, added: “We’re convinced that the strength of a company lies in the diversity of its people and backgrounds. We’re looking for curious, digitally-minded talents who are aware of the challenges of artificial intelligence and eager to make a difference. The summer camp is an outstanding gateway for those who want to learn, innovate, have a real impact and build their future in a dynamic, collaborative, and international environment.”

Olivier Letellier, Sidel’s Octeville Site Leader, concluded: “Training young talents also nurtures a dynamic and inclusive corporate culture. By actively involving the next generation, companies benefit from fresh ideas, new perspectives, and invaluable energy. This synergy between experience and innovation is essential to staying competitive and supporting the sustainable growth of our industry.”
