World-leading aseptic technology
On-stand at CBST, Sidel will showcase Aseptic Predis X4, an innovative, integrated blow-fill-cap solution for PET bottles incorporating Predis™ dry preform sterilisation. Aseptic Predis is manufactured at Sidel’s Bejing plant, which has a strong local supply chain and production capacity and focuses on local delivery to meet the demands of an aseptic packaging market in China that is projected to reach a value of $20 billion by 2028[1].
Predis™ technology injects hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into the preform just before it enters the oven. This means the H2O2 is activated by the time it reaches the preform heating stage, which ensures a high level of decontamination, minimising the sterile zone and blocking any risk of contamination.
To assure all aspects of quality control and food safety across aseptic production, Sidel has pioneered Qual-IS™, a digital, intelligent, and integrated solution that merges all activities related to quality from preform blowing to laboratory management. Visitors to Sidel’s CBST stand can be shown how Qual-IS™ focuses on driving quality rather than simply monitoring it, thanks to its advanced traceability and data analytics.
Over the past five years, Sidel’s Beijing plant has delivered almost thirty sets of innovative Aseptic Predis Combi solutions to customers throughout China and Asia. This includes three high-speed Aseptic Predis complete lines to CR Beverage, one of China’s leading bottled water brands, which achieved a 100% one-time pass rate for aseptic validation.
Sidel’s aseptic lab at its Bejing plant offers manufacturers in the region access to its expert team and features a testing area as well as cleaning and sterilisation rooms with nearly 60 sets of advanced equipment. The team can run preform and cap decontamination tests, hydrogen peroxide residual examinations within packaging, plus microorganism isolation and purification.
Innovative complete line solutions
Discover Actis on-stand, a pioneering plasma coating technology for PET bottles extending shelf life while enhancing lightweighting and now awarded the Association of Plastic Recyclers Design® for Recyclability Recognition mark. This solution is available in an integrated blowing, plasma-coating, and filling configuration with the latest generation of modular Sidel EvoBLOW™ Combi equipment.
At CBST, Sidel will showcase the EvoBLOW XL, its fastest blower for large PET containers up to 10L. Available as a standalone or in a Combi configuration, the EvoBLOW XL features flexible oven configurations and supports various bottleneck dimensions to handle large bottles with ease. Delivering market-leading outputs of up to 18,000 bottles per hour and 98% proven Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), this innovative solution was recently chosen by CR Beverage as part of a complete line packaging solution to support its expansion in big-format water production.

r-PET integration for sustainable packaging
In 2021, the Asia-Pacific eco-friendly packaging market was growing at a CAGR of 4.7% in the forecast period of 2022 to 2029 and was expected to reach USD 98,839.03 million by 2029[2]. As commitments to sustainability targets grow throughout the industry, manufacturers are increasingly incorporating recycled PET into their packaging.
Sidel’s most recent futureproof packaging innovations for recycled PET will be showcased on-stand, including the StarLITE®R range, a dedicated portfolio of bottle bases designed for recycled PET (rPET). The range of ultra-efficient 100 per cent rPET bottles for carbonated soft drinks – which includes StarLITE®-R Nitro and StarLITE®-R Premium – allows CSD producers to switch to rPET bottle production with ease and efficiency, while significantly reducing the impact on product quality or packaging integrity.
