Coveris releases stretch film with recycled content
To reduce reliance on virgin plastic, packaging company Coveris has launched a new generation of lightweight stretch films that contain 30% recycled content. These low-gauge, yet high-performing films are made with recycled polythene, recovered from post-consumer waste streams and Coveris’ own circular manufacturing process. Nestlé Mexico, Greenback, Enval collaborate to bring closed loop plastic packaging to Mexico
To address the growing need for a system that recycles post-consumer plastic waste in Mexico, Nestlé Mexico has signed an agreement with Greenback Recycling Technologies and Enval to bring a chemical recycling plant for flexible plastic packaging. This will promote a closed loop economy for food-grade plastic, which includes aluminum-laminated and multilayer flexible plastic variants.
