In order to provide sustainable food solutions, scientists from the NTU-Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health Initiative for Sustainable Nanotechnology (NTU-Harvard SusNano) have developed a biodegradable food packaging material that can eliminate harmful bacteria. Coveris introduces fully recyclable pouches for grated cheese

Packaging supplier Coveris has launched a breakthrough in creating a more sustainable packaging to cheese, a food product that has complex shelf-life requirements and high-speed packing demands. Together with food manufacturer Ornua Foods, Coveris has developed a fully recyclable polyethylene (PE) monolaminate structure with a built-in barrier for Tesco’s grated cheese. Kraft Heinz targets carbon neutrality by 2050

The Kraft Heinz Company is committing to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in its operational and global supply chains by 2050. In the short term, the food supplier is aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030. For the latter, it will focus on scope 3 emissions, as this comprises 95% of total emissions generated by the company.
