Leaderboard of Asia Food Journal

Three finalists will be selected to pitch live on stage at the Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit in Singapore on October 31-November 2, reaching a powerful global audience of agri-food stakeholders.

The challenge winner will receive invaluable support and guidance from Thai Union’s Global Innovation team, benefitting from the company’s rich history of seafood expertise and innovation to make a positive impact in the realm of diet and nutrition.

The Challenge

Novel Applications from Ocean-Derived Ingredients

Thai Union is keen to work with innovators developing use cases which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Healthy, functional marine-derived ingredients with supporting evidence
  • Seaweed or algae-derived ingredients promoting health and wellness
  • Functional applications of marine-based oils, such as extending shelf-life properties
  • Using precision fermentation to produce ingredients that otherwise would be marine-sourced

Solutions do not have to be sourced from the ocean but do need to have a link with it.

Timeline:

  • Monday, August 7, 5 PM SGT – WEBINAR
  • Wednesday, August 16 – ENTRIES CLOSE, SELECTIONS BEGIN
  • Tuesday, August 29 – FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
  • Tuesday, October 31 – FINALISTS PITCH AT THE SUMMIT AND WINNER ANNOUNCED

What Will You Win?

Three finalists will present their solutions live on stage at the Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit on Tuesday, October 31, with questions from a panel of Thai Union senior executives before the winner is crowned in front of the global agri-food audience.

The challenge winner will receive invaluable support and guidance from Thai Union’s Global Innovation team, including technical expertise, regulatory assistance, and formulation development, to bring their ideas to life and make a positive impact in the realm of diet and nutrition.

All three finalists will benefit from PR visibility to the summit’s extensive global agri-food audience before and at the summit, with complimentary passes to attend the three-day summit for networking and learning opportunities.
