Seafood Expo Asia, organized by Diversified Communications, announces finalists for the 2nd annual Seafood Excellence Asia Awards. Eight finalists from countries around the world were selected and will compete for the best new seafood product at the upcoming Seafood Expo Asia, taking place from 4-6 September in Singapore. The eight finalists were selected based on several criteria, including innovation, packaging, pricing, and market acceptance.
The finalists include:

- Vinh Hoan Corporation (Vietnam): Lucky Bag
- Fisher Farms, Incorporated (Philippines): Corn and Coconut Breaded Shrimp
- Caleta Bay (Chile): Caleta Bay Smoked Trout “Algae & Insects”
- Tuna House Trading Co., Ltd. (Taiwan): Tuna Potstickers
- Yeam Seng Frozen Goods & Fishery Sdn Bhd (Malaysia): Mr. Seabass 8-Minute Fish Steak
- AquaPri A/S (Denmark): Trout Caviar
- Tzukuan Fisheries Association (Taiwan): Fish Soup- Gogi Flavor
The live judging and tasting of the finalist products will take place in the Product Showcase by a panel of high-volume seafood buyers and industry experts from the retail and food service industries across Asia. The Seafood Excellence Asia Awards is an extension of the Seafood Excellence awards featured at Seafood Expo North America and Seafood Expo Global, which consist of seafood buyers tasting, judging, and selecting the best seafood products in the retail and HORECA (hotel/restaurant/catering) sectors.
