Bali-based specialty coffee company Expat. Roasters launched an exciting collaboration with Black Sand Brewery, unveiling Coffee Blonde, a refreshing innovation that seamlessly merges specialty coffee and craft beer.

This limited-edition beverage is a testament to both brands’ shared passion for quality, creativity, and craftsmanship, offering a truly unique sensory experience for coffee and beer lovers.

Coffee Blonde features Expat. Roasters’ Single Origin Kintamani honey beans, sourced from Bali, and Black Sand Brewery’s beer. The result is a pale gold brew with a crisp finish that celebrates the mastery of coffee and beer artisans.

The Coffee Blonde pours a pale gold hue, reminiscent of a traditional blonde ale, and is crowned with a dense white foam. Its coffee-forward aroma reveals hints of caramel, chocolate, dried citrus, berry fruits, and a touch of honey. On the palate, the floral and honey notes are perfectly balanced by the slightly roasted coffee flavours, with a subtle sweetness that lingers. The light-bodied mouthfeel, paired with a crisp, clean, and smooth finish, makes it irresistibly drinkable, with an approachable 4.5% ABV.

“At Expat. Roasters, we’re always looking for ways to innovate and surprise our customers. Coffee Blonde is a celebration of creativity and collaboration, bringing together the best of our coffee expertise and Black Sand Brewery’s craft beer mastery,” said Shae Macnamara, CEO & Founder of Expat. Roasters.

We wanted to elevate both of the products together and showcase the unique flavour and aromatic qualities of the coffee as an ingredient,” said Michael King, Head Brewer of Black Sand Brewery.
