Utilising Non-GMO ingredients is becoming a growing practice in the food and beverage industry lately. Demand for this variant is on the rise, estimated to be at CAGR of 15.7% from 2021 to 2026. It’s no wonder that this product segment has attracted the attention of various companies in the market.

Layn Natural Ingredients, one of the largest innovators in the space, has added more natural botanical extracts to its current line. Additionally, these new types have been verified by the Non-GMO Project. This nonprofit, mission-driven organization aims to build and protect the worldwide non-GMO food supply.

With assistance from the NSF International for testing and validation, the new polyphenol-rich botanical extracts have been given the Non-GMO Project Validation. The company is now offering non-GMO apple, citrus, Galla chinensis, ginger, grape seed, green coffee bean, green tea, magnolia bark, pomegranate, pu’erh tea, rosemary and Sophora japonica extracts.

“Consumers are increasingly demanding greater transparency and trust. As a global, fully vertically integrated botanical extracts ingredient innovator and supplier, we want the world to know we take a clear and proactive approach in verifying that these ingredients widely used in food, beverage, and supplements, as well as in pet and animal nutrition markets, do not contain any GMOs,” stated Collette Kakuk, Vice President, Global Marketing for Layn Natural Ingredients.
