One of the leading providers of sanitary flow control solutions, Unibloc Pump, announced that it has acquired the pioneer of diaphragm pumps, Flotronic Pumps. The latter, based in the UK, invented the “one nut” air operated double diaphragm pumps (AODD). This particular equipment boasts of a single bolt design, which reduces process downtime.
Unibloc hopes to build a global sanitary flow control platform, and going into a partnership with Flotronic is one way to realize this vision. The supplier intends to target more end markets that put a priority on hygienge, such as the food and beverage industry.
