AFC offering system that traps product dust

U.S.-based Automated Flexible Conveyor, Inc. (AFC) has released new equipment that can control dust from contaminating the shop floor. The Dump Clean™ bag break station prevents fine particles from escaping during transfer of powders to bulk containers like drums, sacks and bags. This innovation is suitable for food, chemical and pharmaceutical ingredients.

This tool from AFC integrates an exhaust fan and PLC-based cartridge filter system. The fan draws dust in before it becomes airborne and falls into a discharge hopper under the collector. The filters are then automatically cleaned through a reverse-flow method that shoots short bursts of compressed air.

Stopping particles from escaping ensures that food waste is reduced and combustible dust safety is maintained. Additionally, the production facility will see improvement in cleanliness and hygiene, giving consumers boosted confidence in their offerings’ food safety.

The Dump Clean™ system is constructed with either mild or stainless steel in an industrial or smooth finish. In order to assure sanitary processing, continuous welds are incorporated.
