Following years of research and study, China-based Angel Yeast has come up with nutritional yeast flakes that are great for dietary supplements for vegetarians and sports nutrition. The ingredient is extracted from selected pure strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, obtained from beet molasses or sugar cane through a patented process.

Nutritional yeast is low-fat, low-calorie and low-cholesterol and is non-GMO, Halal- and Kosher-certified too. It contains B-vitamins and bio minerals and features 40 to 50% protein and 30 to 35% dietary fibre.

Manufacturing the flakes involves drum-drying nutritional yeast with yeast polysaccharides, which yields in an item with high rigidity and strength. The end product has a crunchy texture and nutty cheese taste, letting clients get the full health bneefits while enjoying their food.

“As we deepen our understanding of the advantages of nutritional yeast, we have seen an increasing demand for the product, especially from the groups of sports enthusiasts and vegetarians. Angel Yeast regards nutrition yeast flakes as a nutritional and dietary supplement, and our latest products and innovative production technologies are designed to cater to this growing market,” said Jimmy Fu, Head of Angel Human Health overseas business.

Angel Yeast has over 30 years of experience in the production and development of yeast and yeast derivatives.
