SFF announces first two signature events of the 2024 festival line-up

Singapore Food Festival (SFF) is back this October and will feature a host of unforgettable culinary experiences. Having undergone a makeover, SFF has been reimagined with bespoke multi-genre events, ranging from the large-scale to the boutique, celebrating the role of dining in Singapore’s culture through food and entertainment.

From 1 to 31 October 2024, the culinary capital of Singapore will come alive with the debut of a completely refreshed festival format, so say goodbye to the usual festival village. Instead, the focus is on curating immersive experiences set in iconic locations and uniquely Singaporean offerings that cater to visitors of all ages, with each event designed to provide a memorable dining experience.

SFF announces first two signature events

Signature Events are highlights on SFF 2024’s events calendar and are large-scale, theatrical spectaculars held at some of Singapore’s most iconic venues. The SFF Signature Events feature renowned guest chefs and offer immersive and grand culinary experiences.

Future Food, 10 October 2024, Marquee

Be transported to a world of infinite possibilities as we explore Future Food. Experience a fusion of culinary mastery, mixology, gastronomy, and world-class entertainment. Adventurers will be whisked away by a whirlwind of vibrant colours, pulsating soundscapes, and a dazzling display of lights in this immersive theatrical experience that engages all the senses.

The Long Table, 17-18 October 2024, CHIJMES Hall

Set in the historic chapel hall of CHIJMES, The Long Table invites you to a dreamy celebration of enchantment and elegance. Take your place at our beautifully adorned long table and be transported to a different world, where graceful ballerinas twirl amidst whimsical decor as you relish a four-course culinary journey (lunch or dinner) prepared by some of Singapore’s top heritage and contemporary chefs. With enchanting live singers, projections, and life-sized props adding to the magic, The Long Table promises an unforgettable experience where every detail delights the senses.

A festival of old and new

This year’s festival theme is A Celebration of Old and New, and is built around three core pillars — Heritage, Contemporary, and Innovation — which celebrates the full spectrum of Singapore’s culinary history. From time-honoured traditions to the latest food trends, SFF 2024 celebrates Singapore’s rich culinary heritage and offers a culinary journey spanning generations.

“The reimagined Singapore Food Festival 2024 presents an opportunity to captivate global food enthusiasts with an immersive showcase of Singapore’s dynamic F&B scene. This year, with a renewed and deliberate emphasis on curating unparalleled experiences, the Festival aims to pay homage to our diverse culinary tapestry while embracing and celebrating continued innovation championed by our local talents,” said Singapore Tourism Board’s Director of Retail & Dining, Guo Teyi.

Leading this transformation is Blake Harris Entertainment (BHE), a global events agency experienced in developing highly acclaimed, immersive experiences.

Said BHE founder and Singapore Food Festival 2024’s Festival Director, Blake Harris: “We’ve been creating exceptional experiences and entertainment here in Singapore for some time now, and we’re delighted to partner with the Singapore Tourism Board to further strengthen and reinforce Singapore Food Festival as a globally recognised event that showcases the best local chefs, restaurants and flavours.

Food is life in Singapore and, without a doubt, a favourite pastime for many. We are excited to create something very special to make dining even more of an experience for local foodies and international visitors who are spoilt for choice with Singapore’s multitude of gastronomic options. We look forward to embarking on this journey with STB to create unforgettable moments starting in 2024.”

Event formats

In addition to the Signature Events, SFF 2024 will offer other event formats, including Unique Events and Pop-Up Events.

Unique Events: These one-of-a-kind events will take place in some of Singapore’s top restaurants and bars, offering exclusive, bespoke, and fully immersive culinary experiences supported by Blake Harris Entertainment’s creative team.

Pop-Up Events: Popping up in some of Singapore’s most popular locations, these fun and family-friendly showcases provide audiences with a bite-sized taste of what’s on offer at SFF, making gourmet experiences available to a wider audience.

Detailed information about the full programme of events will be progressively released in the coming weeks.
