GNT adds green shades to existing clean-label food coloring line

There’s a growing demand for clean-label options in the food colouring industry, with businesses prioritising those that offer this type in their line-up.

To answer the need for more cost-efficient clean-label products, GNT released two new green shades for the EXBERRY ® Coloring Foods line. These are created from turmeric and spirulina and have no effect on the overall taste of the final food items. This liquid-based food colouring can be utilized in dairy products such as yoghurt, decorative coatings on baked goods, and confectionery like fruit jelly.

According to Sonja Scheffler, Product Manager at GNT, said: “Our new green Coloring Foods provide good overall performance and wonderfully vibrant shades while supporting completely clean and clear labels. Turmeric and spirulina are both well-known, on-trend ingredients, which ensures EXBERRY® Shade Jade Green and Shade Lime Green offer widespread consumer acceptance.”

EXBERRY® Shade Jade Green gives off a bright, bluish green hue, while Shade Lime Green gives a yellowish green shade.

GNT utilises non-GMO fruit, vegetables and plants in its EXBERRY® line, processed through water-based methods, and without using chemical solvents.
