SinnovaTek has launched a new addition to its food processing equipment and technology – the Continuous Flow Bulk Microwave Sterilization System. This sterilisation skid produces high quality products at a rapid speed, but gently in order to retain colours, flavours, aromas, textures and nutrients.

Products that go through this system have properties that are equivalent to pasteurised and refrigerated items. It’s versatile for different applications, from typical beverages to thick and viscous products like shelf-stable fruit and vegetable purees.

SinnovaTek integrates microwave sterilization, which is a more direct form of thermal processing. It is 2.5 times more energy-efficient than steam processing, and renewable energy sources can be used in order to do this process too. This particular system utilises 1/10 of the pipe length of a traditional heating system, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint and lower product waste.

There are three models that can accommodate various throughputs available for businesses. From smaller, commercial applications to large-scale industrial utilization, the equipment can reach up to 1,000kW, processing up to 30 gallons per minute for the latter type.
