Starbucks Taiwan announced the grand opening of its largest flagship store in the market, the STARBUCKS RESERVE® DREAM PLAZA TAIPEI, on July 25. Situated in the heart of the vibrant Xinyi District, the expansive store reimagines the modern coffeehouse – offering an immersive journey that celebrates coffee artistry, sustainable design, and multi-sensory experiences, available to explore at any time of the day.

A destination coffeehouse offering immersive coffee and gourmet experiences

From the moment customers step inside, they embark on a journey where coffee craftsmanship takes center stage. The space unfolds through a series of thoughtfully designed zones, each offering a distinct experience – whether it is the central bar, where espresso classics and Starbucks beverages are crafted with a modern twist, or the Bakery Space, with artisanal, curated fresh bakery and dishes. Every visit is an opportunity to connect, explor,e and indulge in experiences that engage the senses.

At the heart of the store is the Siren’s Lounge® – a first-of-its-kind concept in Asia Pacific offering a set menu-only, reservations-based experience. This intimate space redefines coffee innovation through a multi-sensory exploration of sourcing and crafting, together with a careful selection of treats that bridge culinary artistry with Starbucks coffee expertise while offering customers a panoramic view of the skyline of Taipei city.

Created in collaboration with renowned chef André Chiang, the exclusive tasting menu is paired with hand-crafted mocktails and spirit-forward beverages. From the bright and zesty Tango Fusion to the indulgent “VSOP Brandy Espresso Bliss” and “Reserve Coffee Manhattan”, every sip invites discovery and connection, celebrating Taiwan’s diverse food culture and the depth and breadth of Starbucks Reserve® coffee.

Customers can also enjoy tableside mixology moments led by Starbucks baristas at the Mixology Bar, offering a front-row seat to experience the flavor, texture, and artistry behind every beverage. Each handcrafted creation is accompanied by storytelling that elevates the appreciation of the ingredients, techniques, and traditions behind it.

Highlights include the coffee-based cocktails like the “Espresso Martini Flight”, “Brandy Espresso Bliss”, and the “No. 11 Songgao Rd.”, a cocktail inspired by local Taiwanese elements, featuring Kinmen 58° aged sorghum liquor, showcasing a rich, full-bodied character and a lingering finish. Paired with fresh fruit juice, it delivers vibrant citrus aromas and a balanced sweet-tart profile while a twist of yellow lemon adds brightness and complexity. The cocktail concludes with cold brew coffee made from Starbucks Reserve® Micro Blend No. 10, adding depth with notes of caramel and nuts.

Customers are also invited to go deeper into the world of coffee through two first-in-market spaces: the Sensory Room and Coffee Experience Room, where Starbucks Coffee Masters, industry coffee experts, roasters and baristas will host regular talks and events to lead guided tastings and workshops exploring aroma, flavor, and origin, and offer customers a deeper understanding of coffee history, production process, and cultural significance.

Rounding out the experience is the first dedicated Teavana® Bar in the Taiwan market, where Starbucks baristas reimagine the modern tea experience. From sparkling tea fusions to seasonal blends, customers can enjoy delightful, unexpected creations inspired by local ingredients and global tea traditions.

Open around the clock, the STARBUCKS RESERVE® DREAM PLAZA TAIPEI flagship store serves as a welcoming space for coffee exploration, cultural connection, and everyday moments of inspiration – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A canvas of culturally inspired artworks

Paying tribute to Starbucks’ relentless pursuit of coffee excellence, and in celebration of the rich and diverse local coffee and tea culture, the store features a curated art program themed “Harmony of Nature & Innovation,” transforming the space into a living gallery that celebrates both the journey of coffee and Taiwan’s cultural identity. The rotating collection showcases works by local and international artists, enriching the in-store experience with stories that honor the people and places behind every cup.

At the entrance, guests are greeted by a striking metal sculpture of the iconic Starbucks Siren. Centered on a continuous circle, the piece symbolizes connection and flow and evokes an immersive oceanic realm, celebrating nature and the brand’s enduring legacy. Suspended from the ceiling, Terroir / The Rhythm of Seasons, a striking woven installation by contemporary local Truku artist Labay Eyong, is crafted from sustainable materials. Its flowing forms resemble dancers in the wind – a tribute to the rhythms of nature and the grace of each harvest.

Nearby, The Coffee Dreamscape by Che-Ye Wu is a digital generative artwork inspired by coffee origins. Constantly evolving, it also reveals unexpected moments that transform into contemporary scenes shaped by flavors and coffee experience. Local artist Eszter Chen created a vibrant series of coffee-inspired illustrations that explore how coffee connects people and cultures, weaving a harmonious and lively urban narrative.

In the Sensory Room, Toronto-based creative Ben Johnston’s bold typography work Aroma, Acidity, Flavor, Body highlights the foundational elements of coffee through a coffee-cherry inspired gradient. At the Siren’s Lounge®, Tokyo-based artist Yaeko Kurimata presents Coffee and Biodiversity, a poetic mural of moonlit coffee farms.

Together, these artworks deepen the destination experience, inviting customers to pause, reflect, and connect through coffee, culture, and creativity.

Certified greener store

Spanning close to 2,000 square meters, STARBUCKS RESERVE® DREAM PLAZA TAIPEI is the largest Greener Store in Asia Pacific, bringing sustainability to the forefront with thoughtful store design and operations.

As Starbucks continues to innovate and evolve in the Taiwan market, the STARBUCKS RESERVE® DREAM PLAZA TAIPEI flagship store stands as a symbol of the brand’s enduring promise – a destination that elevates the coffeehouse experience and inspires meaningful connections that last far beyond the cup.
