Nestlé Mexico, Greenback, Enval collaborate to bring closed loop plastic packaging to Mexico
To address the growing need for a system that recycles post-consumer plastic waste in Mexico, Nestlé Mexico has signed an agreement with Greenback Recycling Technologies and Enval to bring a chemical recycling plant for flexible plastic packaging. This will promote a closed loop economy for food-grade plastic, which includes aluminum-laminated and multilayer flexible plastic variants. Glenroy’s all PE stand-up pouches accepted for NexTrex® Recycling Program
In a bid to further improve its line of eco-friendly flexible packaging, Glenroy Inc. has submitted its TruRenu stand-up pouches for assessment at Trex Company’s recycling initiative. This particular product passed Stage 1 of the testing process, which found that its virgin packaging material is made of polyethlene (PE) plastic.
