Lycored’s Lycomato™ protects against oxidative stress

Lycored’s standardized tomato extract was found to have positive effects in fighting oxidative stress, according to a study conducted in Israel. Human dermal fibroblasts were exposed to oxidative stress by researchers, which resulted in cell death and lower pro-collagen secretion. What they found was that those that were pre-treated with Lycomato™ had reduced growth of the MMP-1 enzyme, which is responsible for collagen damage, by 50%. ProAmpac partners with Rutgers University to roll out new intelligent packaging

In order to improve on its existing portfolio of flexible food packaging, ProAmpac is entering a partnership with Rutgers University of Food Science’s Dr. Kit Yam.
